Dentist Near Me In Grande Prairie Accepting New Patients

Our Grande Prairie Dental Clinic Is Accepting New Patients

Your first visit to your new dentist can feel intimidating, but at Dental Care Centre, we strive to make it comfortable and enjoyable. Taking care of your teeth should be easy, not stressful. Here’s what you can expect at your first appointment with us.

What to Expect at Your Dentist in Grande Prairie

When you come to Dental Care Centre, your local dentist, you’ll be welcomed into a friendly office with a warm smile.

We treat every patient as unique and focus on understanding your needs.

Dr. Cymbaluk, Dr. Park and the team take a careful approach to your dental care, recommending only what’s necessary and creating a plan that fits your goals, health, and budget.

Your First Visit

Before your first visit, you’ll need to fill out a consent form. To save time, you can print and complete it before coming in.

Your first visit at Dental Care Centre will take about two hours: one hour with the dentist and one with a hygienist. If needed, we can split this into two separate appointments to fit your schedule.

During your visit, we’ll take photos, X-rays, and an iTero scan of your mouth to create a detailed record of your dental health. If you’ve seen another dentist recently, we can transfer your files to avoid extra X-rays. We’ll review these images with you so you can understand your oral health.

We take a careful, conservative approach to treatments, adjusting as needed based on your scans and progress. We’ll keep you informed and involved at every step, ensuring you get the care you need without unnecessary procedures.

Post-Care Tips

After your dentist visit, you might feel some discomfort or swelling. This is normal, especially if it’s been a while since your last cleaning. To care for your teeth and gums, follow these tips:

  • Use toothpaste with fluoride.
  • Brush your teeth at least twice daily.
  • Floss every day.
  • Avoid too much sugar and acidic drinks.
  • Visit your dentist for cleanings every six months.

If you’ve had dental surgery, you might feel pain or notice some bleeding, especially in the first 24–48 hours. Rest as much as possible, and take painkillers as advised by your dentist. Avoid hot drinks, especially if gauze is in your mouth.

If bleeding lasts more than 4 hours or the pain doesn’t improve within 48 hours, call Dental Care Centre. We’ll guide you and arrange follow-up care if needed.

At Dental Care Centre, your comfort is our priority. We’ll make sure you leave with clear instructions to keep your smile healthy and strong.
